Welcome to our Montessori School
The Montessori School of Mountain House is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive. Our school has proudly served Mountain House and surrounding communities since 2013 offering an excellent educational approach based on the principles of Maria Montessori.
We believe each child is a unique individual with limitless potential. Our experienced and passionate teachers foster a love for learning by creating a hands-on and child-centered environment. We offer programs for children from the age of 3 through kindergarten, providing a seamless educational journey during these critical early years.
We are dedicated to cultivating lifelong learners who possess a love for knowledge, strong character, and the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world. We invite you to join our close-knit community and experience the transformative power of Montessori education.
Our School Programs
Nurture your child’s interest in learning by exploring language, including reading and writing, mathematics, sensorial, practical life competency skills, and studying plants, animals, geography, land and water forms, and continents and oceans in a culturally inclusive environment.Learn More Learn More
Marine Animals, Spiders, and Insects are this summer’s great particular focus. We look at living insects, animals, and their habitats, three-dimensional models, puzzles to put together, books galore to read, and arts and crafts are just a part of the experiences the children will have this summer.Learn More Learn More
Things you should know
All teachers have state-required units in Early Childhood Education, CPR and First Aid Training, Mandated Reporter Training, and Criminal Background Checked. Most hold higher education degrees and Montessori credentials through Montessori accredited training programs or are currently in training to ensure we maintain highly qualified staff.
Our Montessori school follows the state requirement ratio of one teacher visually observing and supervising at most 12 children in attendance. Every classroom consists of a head teacher and two qualified assistants for a group as large as 36 students.
Our staff and children’s safety is our highest priority. Policies and guidelines are in place to provide a safe and healthy environment for all visitors, including: touchless attendance system, motion-detecting hand sanitizers, daily sanitizing and janitorial in a safe enclosed campus with external security cameras, access code entry, and a emergency disaster plan.
